Hi first of all thank you for  reading. Why we are doing this ?. My name is Laura Jane Butler. I am a tribute to Amy Winehouse. I have been for 13 years . Every year since Amy passed my husband, Deano & myself have raised  funds for AWF.  This year it’s 9 years since Amy passed away .

On 14th September 2011  Amys family set up the charity  Today, Amy’s foundation helps thousands of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. They help them to feel supported, informed and inspired. They help them to make informed choices about drugs and alcohol, and help them to reach their full potential. They are able to do this, because of the support we receive from people like you.

Every year around Amys birthday 14th Sept my hubby & me organise fundraising events.  The first ever event in 2012 in London’s Brick lane. Amys Mum  Janis attended & we raised £4.5k . From then on Amys Mum & Dad  endorsed me as a tribute to their daughter as they could see the love & respect I have for Amy & her music. 

Along with other events  we organise   a small tribute festival annually Many wonderful tributes usually offer their talent entirely free as they kind of love us & know we have a great atmosphere. It’s usually  for about 200 people raising aprox £2k     In 9 years in total our fundraising has  raised Aprox £40k with various events & bucket shaking. 

This year we find a challenge along with all charities. COVID-19 ... we feel to do an event would be inappropriate incase Of infection spread. So I have decided to live stream for 9 hours .... it won’t be all singing as I would collapse. But it will be a lot of fun . A day in the life of Butroyds, who needs the Kardashians or Gemma Collins when u got us  

We will be streaming other live events throughout the pandemic &  in the run up to Christmas so please keep donating 

 learning new songs to sing together to perform on Facebook will be the new challenge
