At 15 months old my best friend was diagnosed with FSGS Nephrotic Syndrome - a life threatening disease where the immune system attacks the kidneys, causing permanent damage. She was lucky enough to find a drug that has worked for her but she has relapsed since a few times, most recently last year. Again, her 'miracle drug' worked for her and she is doing this walk with me!  However, this drug has not produced the same results for others suffering from this disease. Many patients end up needing a transplant - except a transplant is not a cure as their immune system can attack their new kidneys. sadly, this is a chronic disease and there is no cure. So, on 30th September, we are walking for kidneys to help raise much needed funds. Please help me in raising money for this cause.
