100K Ultra Run In Memory Of Angelo Fasulo

Peak District Challenge 2021 · 3 July 2021 to 4 July 2021 ·
UPDATE Postponed Until 2022 Due To Injury
The Event
I've been running since April 2020 during the UK Covid Lockdown and have found it life-changing in terms of physical and mental wellbeing. I had a goal in 2021 to take part in an ultra-running event. My initial thought was to start with a 50K race and see how I get on from there......However, I wasn't 100% sure.
Why I Am Raising Money
As many of you will know, In 2018, one of my oldest friends, Angelo, left us all too early. I had the idea that if I could raise some money in his memory for a charity of his family's choosing, I would jump in at the deep end and go for a 100k race.
The Charity Chosen
The charity chosen by Sadie, Santino, and Izzie is the Laura Centre. Losing a parent is a devastating experience. The Laura Centre is here to help families through that period. However, The Laura Centres support relies on public support to do so. By raising funds for The Laura Centres, they will continue to help those experiencing an incredibly traumatic time in their lives. By supporting this fundraising initiative, you will be helping those in need.
My 100K Challenge- Withdrawn
My challenge will take place on 3rd July in the Peak District. The course is a 100km loop going through rugged off-road terrain on trails, hills, and fells. The race is the equivalent of 2.37 full marathons in the distance, but with over 8000 feet of elevation gain. My entry is fully self-funded, so all money raised will go directly to The Laura Centre.
The Laura Centre is such a worthy charity, so anything you give will be massively appreciated. Please share this story on social media, as it helps fundraising efforts.
