The Archie Foundation exists to transform experiences and outcomes in healthcare and bereavement for local children and families. Ensuring that all support and services are delivered in a child-appropriate environment and manner.

Story

Laurie's Fund was created in memory of our daughter, Laurie Mitchell, who died in Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital on 3 April 2014 aged 6 weeks. 

Laurie's Fund is administered by the ARCHIE Foundation and helps the families of children staying in the HDU.

It's biggest acheivement has been a major refurbishment of the family room in the HDU, providing a much needed comfortable multi-purpose space.

With this project successfully completed, new funds raised also support the Grampian Child Bereavement Network.
