A High Quality, All-inclusive And Compassionate Service
- For The Community Of Luton

Today, we are making an appeal for help with purchasing a new vehicle to enhance the service we provide to the Muslim community of Luton.

The vehicle which we have sourced is a dual-purpose Mercedes Vito Long Wheel Base. The dual-purpose feature is that the top deck will be used for coffins enabling better viewing and the lower deck can accommodate the stretchers and other equipment. This vehicle will be more reliable than our current ones which are over 20 years old.

We have now been operating for over a year and a half as Central Funeral Services – a branch of Luton Central Mosque. We are voluntary, not-for-profit organisation, relying on the support and dedication of our team. To date, we have carried out more than 150 funerals for the Muslim community.

Our mission statement is to eliminate stress and tension from the family of the deceased at a time when they are emotionally strained.

This was seen throughout the current pandemic when الحمد لله we were the only local funeral service carrying out full Ghusl and funeral rites for all the deceased, including those who tragically passed away from COVID-19. We were very fortunate to have fully trained volunteers and are grateful to all who donated us approved PPE equipment.

This was a very testing time for the service, however even on days which saw us process up to 8 funerals a day, we were able to conduct all of them fully compliant with Shariah under the guidance and supervision of our qualified ‘Alims.

As part of our comprehensive service, we deal with as much of the relevant paperwork as possible, relieving the family and allowing them to come to terms with what has passed.

In order for us to be able to continue carrying out this invaluable work and serve the Ummah in Luton and surrounding areas, we are in desperate need of this new vehicle.
Our target is to raise £55,000.
We feel that this is achievable and we can reach this target with your help.
