Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·
Thank you for visiting the LDC Team fundraising page. Our team of seventeen consists of the following team members:
Darryl Eales, Carl Wormald, Johnny Bell, Paul Johnson, Richard Barley, Robert Macarthur, Tim Farazmand, Steven Gray, Caroline Johnstone, Ismail Mykay Kamara, Jayne Li, Jeremy Perl, Ray Stenton, Ronald Verhoef, John Hughes, Peter Smith and Anne Leggett.
We are running 26.2 miles in the 2009 Flora London Marathon on behalf of JDRF to help find the cure for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a chronic, life threatening condition which has a life-long impact on those diagnosed with it. JDRF is the world's leading funder of type 1 diabetes reseach and the only charity dedicated solely to finding the cure.
Last year the support we received from our friends and colleagues was outstanding, and as a result we were able to raise a staggering amount to support JDRF. They nor we could believe the generosity of those who supported us. Every single penny raised went without deduction to JDRF.
This year the team is fully aware that we are living in extraordinary times so this year's request for support is, we hope, realistic. We would like to raise some money for this worthy cause so all contributions no matter how large or small are most welcome...or just turning up and cheering the JDRF Team on the day would be thanks enough.
So please support the LDC Team now! Many thanks for your support.
