Edinburgh Marathon 2008 · 25 May 2008 ·

The Greyhound Awareness League is Scotland's largest independent charity helping to rehome over 200 retired or abandoned Greyhounds and Lurchers every year. GAL is run totally by volunteers and receives no financial help from the Greyhound racing industry or the government. It looks after over 75 dogs at any time while it finds loving homes for them as pets.

Story

Believe it or not, I'm running the Edinburgh Marathon!!!

I'm running for the Greyhound Awareness League as they do a fantastic job of rescuing and rehoming these gentle giants. My partner and I successfully fostered three greyhounds before falling hook, line and sinker for our fourth foster dog, Morse. He has well and truly found a place in our hearts, and on our sofa!

Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Greyhound Awareness League will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
