A 5K, definitely. Am 10K, perhaps. A 10 mile run through mud and bogs, sheeeeit...well, ok. A half marathon - are you bloody kidding? Go on then.
A MARATHON?!!!!
Until 4 hours before the time of going to press, I had thought there would be no way I could run 26.2 miles. And still have a slight fear that this might be the case! But the chance came through today to run for CLIC Sargent and you couldn't have got me on the phone fast enough.
Why you might ask? Well I know a few people going through a few pants things at the moment - things much worse than achy knees, blisters and bleeding nipples. Actually I've heard the latter is pretty darn bad, but doesn't come close to when a child gets cancer.
Every day 10 families are told their child has cancer. As the UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is the only organisation to offer them all round care and support. That’s because they’re there every step of the way.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I will be digging deep within my soul and will to finish that flippin' race. So please dig deep into your pockets and donate now!
