For those of you that have known me for a long time, you will know that I have always struggled with my weight. I have always loved food, particularly anything covered in sugar. Always the chunky kid in school, I would avoid any form of exercise at all costs. It was torture watching other people exercise, let alone doing it myself. 

When I started secondary school in 2007 I weighed 13 stone...I was 11 years old. This was my first attempt at losing weight sustainably. Over a 3-month period of not eating correctly, exercising excessively and getting in to some really unhealthy habits, I lost 6 stone. As you can imagine, as soon as I started eating normally again I piled on the weight. Throughout my 5 years at secondary school my weight plateaued several times with me leaving school in 2012 weighing a healthier 11 stone. 

Fast forward to 2021, I now weigh 18 stone and I am extremely unhealthy. The children I support through our Short Breaks Service will often joke about me being 'a little chunky', and they are right! I have now decided it is time to lose weight again and make this my final battle with myself. 

From 22nd March 2021 I will be eating healthy, exercising and trying my best not to lapse. I will be posting regular updates on how I am getting on. To make it interesting, if I lapse and put weight on one week I will be succumbing to a forfeit decided by the children accessing our Short Breaks Service (eggs crack on my head, pelted with wet sponges, squirted with paint etc).
