Legends Game 2015 · 15 October 2015

The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sport. Through expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice, the Foundation helps people with life-changing injuries to get busy living again.

Story

On Thursday 15th October we will be holding a Legends game alongside Springbok and World Rugby Legend Joost Van Der Westhuizen’s J9 Foundation. The game will be between a Matt Hampson England Legends XV and a Joost Van Der Westhuizen World Legends and will take place at Allianz Park, home of Saracens.
Matt’s England side will be captained by Jason Robinson and he will be joined by fellow World Cup winner and Patron of the Matt Hampson Foundation Mike Tindall, they will also be joined by Iain Balshaw and Mark Cueto and we will be announcing more players as we get closer to the game.
Joost’s World XV will feature players from all other the World and so far includes the likes of Serge Betsen, Thinus Delport, Nicky Little, Freddie and Henry Tuilagi.
Both Matt and Joost have overcome such adversity in their lives and it is testament to them both that they now use there profile and the support they have and continue to receive from the rugby fraternity to help others who find themselves in a similar postion.

This game is a chance once again for the Rugby family to come together during the World Cup and show their support to both Matt and Joost. To raise the profile of both the Matt Hampson and J9 Foundations and to raise vital funds to allow both organisations to continue to support those individuals who need our help.
