Story

It was almost a year ago that my beautiful wife became unwell with a mystery illness, it wasn't until a few months later that she was diagnosed as suffering with M.E., an illness that I now know first hand is a debilitating and cruel illness that leaves the sufferers chronically devoid of all energy, and in many cases in terrible pain after attempting even the simplest of 'everyday' tasks.
There is no cure, no treatment, and very little understanding of what causes it or why in some cases it goes away and in many it lingers for many years.
Over quarter of a million people of all ages in the UK alone are diagnosed as suffering from M.E. Many of these are so severe that they can be confined to bed for weeks, even months at a time.
A year ago, I was scarily unfit, a heavy smoker and 4 stone heavier than I am now. When Laura was first diagnosed I set myself the challenge of running the London 10k to raise money and awareness for Action for M.E.
I was thrilled when Action for M.E. asked me to run the London Marathon for them this year!
So I'm trying to raise £1600 for the charity, if you can give any amount no matter how small it will help towards my final goal.
