St David’s Hospice is a local charity providing hospice care to adult patients across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey. We deliver free, high-quality, specialist palliative care to patients with advanced illnesses, their family and carers.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

My plan is to cycle 1000 plus miles unsupported from Land's End to John O'Groats, starting on the 23rd May 2009 in aid of St. David's Hospice, Llandudno.

My rough route plan (subject to variations and attractions along the way) is to initially head along the north Cornwall coast towards Padstow before heading west and eventually across Dartmoor. Then I'll make my way towards Bristol and over the old Severn Bridge, dip into Wales and then across the Forest of Dean to Cheltenham. Into the Cotswolds and then north to a cycling festival at Donnington Park near Derby. Here I hope to ride the festival's 60 mile (100km) sportive before heading north through the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and onto Carlisle. Entering Scotland the plan is north to Glasgow, up to Loch Lomond and follow the road across Rannoch Moor, through Glencoe and upto Fort William. Then its northwest to Loch Ness's western edge before striking north to Scotland's northern coast at Tongue. From here its east to John O'Groats and hopefully over 1000 miles of cycling!!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St David's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So I would be very grateful of any pledge/sponsorship you may wish to give.
