A few months ago, I made the very rash decision to enter a half marathon.  When I made that decision I had never run more than about 7km.  Four weeks before the half marathon, my training is going well and is now up to about 12km.  Though pleased with my progress, I am completely daunted by the fact that I have to do this twice to get round the course! 

Learning recently that a good friend is suffering from breast cancer, has motivated me to try and raise money for cancer charities in both the UK and France by raising sponsorship for this event.

The organisations currently being supported in the UK by The Phoenix International Charity are; Cancer Research UK and Children’s Hospices UK.  If you prefer that your money is spent in France - please email me direct - I will be giving any sponsorship I receive direct to "La Ligue contre le Cancer."
