Story

We all need a break from time to time. “Geoffs Place” provides a holiday home for a group of people with learning disabilities. As they say, it's named after Geoff Samways who loved going on holiday with his special needs friends before he sadly passed away: "Geoff's friends miss him being with them when they go". By naming it Geoffs Place they felt he would still be part of their holidays. The chance to run the London Marathon was a "break" for me too - it's an idea that helped first get me running in 2010 - but it has opened my eyes to valuable work being done behind the scenes by a local charity that's really worth supporting. I'm not quite a marathon "virgin" so I sort-of know what's coming; your sponsorship will keep me going when everything else says "stop!"
