After completing the Paris marathon last year I swore I would never do another one. I must have had a memory slip as here I am again spending every spare minute running around London and boring friends with tales of sore knees and new running routes! On the 26 April 2009 , I will be running in the London Marathon and my participation will benefit the Elimination of Leukemia Foundation. I am excited to meet the challenge of competing in the event, especially since it is for a good cause, but I need your help. Don't worry-you won't have to run! I am asking friends and family to consider sponsoring me for this event.I have agreed to raise £1500 in sponsorship before the event and would greatly appreciate any possible contribution you can make. Any contributions you make will go directly towards the development of new anticancer therapies. In addition ELF is proudly funding the new teenage cancer lead nurse position at Guy's and St Thomas hospital. Having worked as a chemotherapy nurse for this trust for the last five years I am aware of the difference a job like this will make to all the teenagers and young adults presently receiving treatment there. Help me achieve this goal and motivate me on those cold dark morning by giving what you can.
