On November 30th 2008 I will run the half marathon of Shanghai and Paris is next on the list on April 5th 2009 for a full marathon.

All sweat, blisters and Mocktail nights out I choose to bare in favor of THE SMILE TRAIN. The Smile Train is an international children's charity which is dedicated to helping millions of children in the world who were born with cleft lip and palate and also empowers local surgeons and medical professionals in developing countries -also China- to perform the surgery themselves. The Smile Train provides free cleft surgery for kids who would otherwise never get that little piece of the puzzle missing for the smile they deserve. It takes 150£ to help one child.

It is obvious why this cause is one very close to my hart, so I would be very grateful for all your help gathering as many smiles as possible

It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Smile Train gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Op 30 november 2008 loop ik de halve marathon van Shanghai en Parijs staat als volgende op de lijst  op 5 april 2009 voor een volledige marathon.

Alle zweet, blaren en Mocktail nights out verdraag ik graag ten voordele van de Smile Train. De Smile Train is een internationale liefdadigheidsorganisatie die zich inzet voor miljoenen kinderen over de hele wereld die zijn geboren met een schisis (gespleten lip en gehemelte). Door het gratis uitvoeren van schisisoperaties en het opleiden van chirurgen in ontwikkelingslanden om dit werk verder te zetten, geven ze aan elk kind de glimlach die het verdient. Er is 150£ nodig om één kind te helpen.

Het is duidelijk waarom deze organisatie mij nauw aan het hart ligt, en ik ben erg blij en dankbaar met jullie hulp om zoveel mogelijk lachebekjes te verzamelen!
