Story
India and Lily are best friends. They are in Year 7 at Cobham Free School and are both very sporty girls. India is a brown belt in kick boxing and a very talented dancer. Lily has played football since the age of 5 and plays for Claygate Royals Girls FC. She also loves cross country running, and has just recently started kick boxing as well! The girls were looking for a life challenge and decided that a 33k walk/jog/run around the beautiful coastline of the Isle of Wight was it.
We asked the girls what charity they wanted to support and they both beamed back and immediately said Harrison's fund! Harrison is a young boy from their previous school who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The fund has been setup by Harrison's parents Alex and Donna Smith, to help raise money to fight this terrible fatal disease. The irony of this challenge is not lost on us, when you consider how active both the girls are, and the terrible hand that Harrison has been dealt in life.
Make no mistake, this is an enormous challenge for two 12 year old girls to undertake, but knowing how determined the girls are they will succeed. Even if they have to crawl the final few k's on their hands and knees!
Please take some time from your busy day to read up on Harrison's Story using the link on the right of this page. As a parent, it brings tears to my eyes every time I visit.
Thank you in advance for your kind donation.
Love from India and Lily xx
