Story
Lion Paresh Modasia is embarking once again on a 19 day (starting 1st April - 22nd April 2014) treking/mountaineering across Mount Everest Mera Peek expedition (6461 meters). Everest Base Camp is about 5000m but we are going higher. The views along the trip are the best in the world. From the summit of Mera Peak there are incredible views of four great peaks of Baruntse, Chamlang, Nau Lekh and Makalu, and of course other unnamed peaks of the great Everest in the background. The temperatures can go as low as minus 25 degrees at night.
The proceeds will go to Consortium of Street Children which is an excellent charity dealing with children all over the world. 100 million children live street lives - and the number is rising. The street is not a place you would like to call home. So @streetchildren works with 90 organisations in 130 countries to help improve the lives of these children. CSC is the only global network working with street children. Whether climbing mountains, running marathons or walking across Britain, every penny raised helps a child's life through our vital work. So please give as much as you can. For more information please go to www.streetchildren.org or follow us on twitter @streetchildren.
Lion Paresh is also hoping that he will be able to do some work with children in Nepal in the future. He is paying for the cost of the whole expedition and ALL the donations raised will go to Charity.
Part of the proceeds will also go to various Lions Clubs Inernational Charities in the British Isles & Ireland and Globaly.
Thank you for your support, no matter how much, the money raised will go a long way to help these worthwhile causes.
