As you all know, I'm not exactly the queen of fitness, but I've decided that this would be a great thing to do - to raise some money for a fantastic cause, and also to prove that yes I can run if I put my mind to it (even if it is "like a girl"!)

Autism affects 1 in 100 people. It's a hidden disability which means that often it gets overlooked and doesn't attract the same level of attention (and funds) as something like cancer. What's amazed me since I became involved with Autism West Midlands is how many people have a friend, a sibling, or other family member with autism, and how the smallest thing can make the world of difference to the lives of people with this condition.
