Story

Hello, and thanks for taking the time to visit this page.

I wasn't sure what to raise money for this year. It was going to be a case of eenie meenie miney moe until I came across an article about Medecins Sans Frontieres in The Sunday Times, and specifically the work they do in Iraq for children and young people injured in war. After reading the article, I knew I had to do something to contribute.

Following the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti, it's now more crucial than ever that this excellent charity gets all the help it can. MSF have 800 workers in Haiti and as yet not all have been accounted for. They've also seen huge damages to their medical facilities - they need money, and they need it now. I've spoken to a spokesperson for MSF who assured me that whatever money is donated through this page will go directly to the charity immediately, so they won't have to wait until after the run to receive the funds.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

You're not sponsoring us to go for a run - your donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards what is undoubtedly one of the best causes around. Please give generously - your money will save lives.

Cheers.
