Liv's page :) Running for my big bro Bobby

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
There are almost 14 million disabled people in the UK, that’s one in five of us. Life is harder when you’re disabled. You're twice as likely to be unemployed, getting care is a struggle and the cost of living is higher. It’s wrong.
So I'm fundraising for Scope to create a fairer society and it is a charity close to my heart... please read below x
In February 2021 my eldest brother Bobby very sadly passed away. Bobby grew up with cerebral palsy which made life incredibly difficult for him. There are varying degrees of cerebral palsy, however sadly Bobby's case was quite severe meaning he could not walk or talk and had to spend many weeks and months of his life in hospital with numerous complications as a result of his disability.
Bobby was a very very special individual, a true champion, because despite the complications and the suffering he endured he still could express emotion, emotion in the rawest form. Despite his disability you always knew when Bobby was happy and when he was telling you he loved you. Seeing Bobby smile was truly magical, he had the most amazing handsome face, big eyes, and an infectious laugh. Even in the toughest situations, you could still squeeze a smile out of him, because he was just truly amazing.
My family and I miss Bobby every day and we would all do anything to give him a big cuddle and a kiss and hear his laugh, but we know he is living a much freer life in heaven away from his disability.
That is why I want to raise money for Scope to help those with disabilities of all degrees, so that they are able to live a much freer and fulfilled life and to enjoy every possible moment.
I welcome any donations and thank you so much, your love and support means the world.
