Story

Hi there!

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving Page!

If you don't know us, we are Ted Simpson and James Reilly, uni students and keen adventurers. When looking for our next challenge we found the current record for the fastest crossing of Loch Ness by kayak, which currently stands at 5 hours and 19 minutes, as judged by Guinness World Records.

Given that we are stupidly competitive and love a challenge, we have decided to have a crack at beating that time.

One of the main reasons for attempting this record is so that we can try and raise money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a cause we are both passionate about. Cystic fibrosis is an incredibly debilitating disease, and sufferers don't always get the attention and support that they need and deserve.

So, if you have some spare change floating around and fancy supporting us for this great cause, please donate! It doesn't matter the size of the donation - we and thousands of others will massively appreciate it. We will be funding the cost of the trip ourselves, so that 100% of donations go straight to charity.

We Headed up to the Great Glen in January to get some paddling in as practice, the weather was a bit crazy on days but things are now looking good for the attempt in July. Here are a couple of highlights from the trip - https://www.flickr.com/photos/130618225@N04/15666850073/

Thank you for your support,

Ted & James.
