Just a Drop brings sustainable safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects to communities around the world. Safe water changes everything. It improves health, education, women's rights, leads to secure food sources, economic growth and brighter futures. It completely transforms lives.

Story

Lola (2 Years) and Finn (4 years) decided to not accept birthday presents this year (2014) and donate the cost of them to help building a well in africa.

They are going to run around Highbury fields too and they will be doing lots of diferent things to raise money and awareness about the water situation in the world.

THE FACTS ARE ALARMING:

  • 768 million people in the world do not have access to clean, safe water
  • Around 2.5 billion people do not have access to adequate sanitation
  • Over 2.75 million people die from diseases every year because of unsafe water
  • Children in poor environments often carry approximately 1,000 parasitic worms in their bodies
  • Over 40 billion working hours are spent carrying water each year in Africa
  • In parts of Africa and Asia women often carry water weighing as much as 20kgs (the same as the average UK airport luggage allowance) on their heads
