Story

Hello hello!
Firstly, thank you for coming onto my sponsorhip page.  I know times are tough at the moment so any little bit of sponsorship would be greatly appreciated!
So, a little about the charity I am cycling 160 miles for!  Schools Around the World (SATW) is a registered charity which exists to increase the aspirations of young people worldwide.  SATW aims to help widen the horizons of young people (11-25 year olds) whose opportunities are limited by their domestic, social or financial circumstances. SATW aims to give these young people opportunities for improved education, help nurture their aspirations and promote their personal growth.

John Travers, the late CEO of Cushman & Wakefield [EMEA], was intent on SATW being involved in Africa. He dreamed of building a school there and undertook a great deal of research in Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Ghana. Together, Jennie Travers and SATW are taking this project forward and building a new secondary boarding school at Miono in the Bagamoyo district in Tanzania. The London Capital Market Team are aiming to raise £40,000 to build a new boarding house at this school – and this is what I am cycling for! You’re donations, whether large or small, would be greatly appreciated towards this collective goal.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Schools Around the World gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So, hopefully I have persuaded you to sponsor me!

Thank you!  Flic
