The Journey

Along with three friends I'm about to embark on a 1500 mile cycle from London to Rome in 15 days!

The first day sees us tackling the harsh terrains of Surrey and Kent to arrive in Dover before the Ferry leaves. After our luxurious night spent in Calais, the following 5 days will be a cruise across the flat french plains before a treacherous 4 day climb and descent of the Alps, concluding in Milan.

The next day sees us cycle towards Palma, bracing ourselves for the 2 day insane terrain of the Dolomites. The final 2 day leg into Rome will see us complete our journey.

The Charity (Women for Women International)

I have to say I've had some funny looks when mentioning the charity I hope to raise money for on this ride.

'A Man for Women for Women' perhaps!? Haha.

I was inspired by a film named 'The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo' and I urge you to watch it if you get the chance. It's not easy viewing but hopefully it will evoke the same emotion in you as it did me.

Here is the Trailer

Keep up with us!

I will be creating a blog and trying to update it with videos and pictures as I go so you can track my progress and spur me on!!

All the very best to you all
