We fund life changing research to change the future of spinal cord injury

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We, Sam & Louise, are running in the 2015 London Marathon for Spinal Research. Spinal Research is a UK based charity working to develop therapies to restore feeling and mobility to people paralysed as a result of breaking their neck or back.

Back in August 2003 I broke 2 vertebrae in my back but fortunately for me, and my family, I sustained no lasting affects from my injury. We both want to run the marathon to honor the extraordinary bravery of those less fortunate than me and to support the vital research being undertaken by Spinal Research in achieving their goal of developing therapies to restore feeling and mobility in paralysed people who have broken their neck or back.

We have never run a marathon before but we both know that through our sheer determination, endless support and encouragement from family, friends and colleagues we will succeed. Help us make London Marathon 2015 memorable by digging deep and donating as generously as you can. Every penny will help but please, please help us raise an outstanding amount for a really worthwhile charity, Spinal Research.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
