In 2012 my Dad had been taken from us early with a hereditary condition called Marfans Syndrome. This devastated the whole of the family but following tests several members were diagnosed including myself.  

Marfans Syndrome affects roughly 1/5000 people and the symptoms for individuals can differ. Its a syndrome relating to the genetic tissue within the heart and in the most severe cases can cause the aorta to tear under pressure, which can be fatal. Other parts of the body can be affected such as the bones, eyes, skin, lungs and nervous system.

Many adults often don't realise they have this syndrome, and most people have never heard of the condition. 

Growing up me and my parents always used to watch the Goonies. It is one of my favourite films of all time and often I would have it on repeat. on that basis it seemed a good idea to do this virtual race called 'Run You Guys' dedicated to the film.

I am looking to raise some money to go towards The Marfans Trust to help them raise awareness for this horrible syndrome.
