Story

Thanks for taking the time to look and hopefully donate on my Just Gving page. On the 12th May 2012 I will be pushing myself to complete my own triathlon. I will do 40 lengths swimming which is about 1k then I will run a 5k run and cycle 10k. If you know me then you know that this will be a massive challage. Over the past year I have put on almost 2 stone, this is because I was given an insulin pump by Russells Hall Diabetic Dept. This has been fantasic and changed some aspects of my life for the better, but it has also allowed me to "eat what I want when I want" which I now know is wrong. I have always been a little bigger than all my friends but now while I can I want to change. I dont want to have to get morbidly-obese before I take any notice which is why I am doing this now. One of my biggest insperations is my uncle Brent, he was diagnosed with Cancer 19 months ago and I think one of the reasons he is still surviving is because of how fit and healthy he is. I am like Brent in some ways becuase I also have something to live with, my diabeties and he has to live with his Cancer. Diabetes is harder to control if you are over wieght and this is also a reason why I am doing this triathlon.

I will be updating this page every month so you will know how I am doing.

Thank you again and please donate towards this great charity.

God bless you xxxxxxxxxx
