Lucinda Mitra is raising money for The King's Trust
In memory of Rob Gauntlett

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Rob Gauntlett had a dream. At the age of 16 he set himself the challenge of becoming the youngest Briton to climb Mount Everest. By the age of 19, he stood on the summit of the highest mountain in the world. The following year, he became the first person in the world to travel from Pole to Pole using only human and natural power, completing this in May 2008. His message was simple; he wanted to encourage young people to follow their own goals and aspirations.

On January 9th, Rob tragically died in a climbing accident in the Alps. In his short life he inspired many people across the world to believe that they too could achieve. I am taking up a challenge of my own; I will be running the London Marathon in memory of such an incredible person.

The money I raise will be donated to Prince's Trust, a charity that is close to Rob's heart as it reflects Rob's principles perfectly.
