Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In September, my team and I are climbing Kilimanjaro for Shelter. We are aiming to raise £4000 per person - striving for a total of £100,000. If we reach this target, Shelter will be able to help over 1000 people. These are families and individuals who are loosing their homes, living in sub-standard housing and going without this basic necessity.
8 million people are just 1 pay cheque away from losing their home.
It could happen to anyone.
Keep a check on my page - we'll be holding events and taking on challenges that you can donate to or even participate in! I'll be putting up pictures and keeping you all painstakingly up-to-date on our progress.
In September a team of around 20 of us will take on the climb. There are a mix of individuals; from Partners to Junior Analysts from across our Risk Consulting Practice.
For those of you who don't know me particularly well, here's a quick blurb!
I've been working with KPMG for the last 18 months in their Risk Consulting Practice - more specifically in in our Technology Security Practice (IPBR).
I grew up in Gloucestershire, went to university in Bristol but have not had the easiest of rides in life. Because of this I have always been closely involved in charity work and have supported a variety of causes, from children's support charities, to mental health charities, to serious illness charities.
The support and difference that a charity can make to an individual is incredible. In today's day and age no one should have to face anything without support. If the money I raise and the charities I support can continue to raise awareness and catch the eye of just one person that otherwise would not have asked for help, I'd be happy.
Thanks again for your time.
