The Joe Ellis Trust helps Isle of Wight children who have cancer and their families in their time of need. The Trust was set up in loving memory of Joe Ellis, who died 30/6/14, at the tender age of just 13 years, after being diagnosed with Primary Mediastinum large B cell Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Story

I'm raising money for the Joe Ellis Trust by running my first ever full marathon in Brighton next year. Joe was a pupil at the school I work at on the island and the trust is very close to everyone at Christ the King's hearts. Joe has left a lasting legacy through the trust, helping island children to fight cancer.

Cancer doesn't only affect the individual who is unwell either. It affects their family and friends too. The worry, stress and anxiety that cancer causes are only some of the negative affects it has on those closest to the person. Add to that financal concerns, difficulty caring for other members of the family, time off work and the exhaustion that all this can cause and you can see why the help and support that the Joe Ellis Trust provide is so important.
