Headway - the brain injury association- The Richmond Park Challenge · 15 May 2009 ·

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

Hi

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and, hopefully, sponsoring me to take part in The Wheely Big Relay on behalf of Headway - the brain injury association.

Not only do I work for the charity, but I also want to support it in other ways. So, on 15 May, I'll be getting on my bike and cycling until I collapse, which shouldn't take too long. I'll then get up and try again!

The event is to take place during Action for Brain Injury Week, where we will be campaigning to encourage cyclists to wear helmets.

Headway supporters from across the country will be joining together to cycle around Richmond Park in London, with each cyclist setting their own targets.

I aim to cycle four laps of the 7.5 mile track - that's 30 miles! Now, to some that may not seem much, but believe me, to me it's, well, MILES!

PLEASE SPONSOR ME WITH ANY AMOUNT YOU CAN. Every little helps us to improve life after brain injury. Thank you!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Headway - the brain injury association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
