Celebrating Luke Ruddiman

Hello, thank you for visiting Luke's page.
On December 17th, I lost the most important person in my life, my kind, funny, loving husband, Luke. Sadly, Luke passed away 8 days after our wedding and 9 months since he was diagnosed with Testicular cancer. He went through 3 rounds of chemo, each time not hearing the news we would want but still keeping his positivity, resilience and smile.
Luke was a much loved son, brother and friend to many people. Whilst a cliché, you never think something like this is going to happen to you or your family, but unfortunately cancer is indiscriminate.
Luke's family and I have felt an immense amount of support from family, friends and people much further afield, who have been touched by Luke's bravery over the last 12 months. We want to ensure that, as he did in life, he leaves an impact. We are therefore requesting that donations are made to Maggies in Luke’s honour.
Maggie's provide services nationwide to both cancer patients and those that require support during their most challenging times. Luke spent time at St James' Hospital in Leeds and during his time Maggie's were building a new center to provide support services for those in need there. We therefore felt it fitting that we could support something close to home.
If anyone would be kind enough to donate, show your support and help reach our target, we and Maggie's would be truly grateful.
Love
Elizabeth Ruddiman
