Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and my good mate Joe Hibbert have decided to have a crack at this year's Sheffield Half Marathon on April 6th 2014 to tick off a personal challenge and hopefully raise some money for a fantastic charity in the process.

The charity we've chosen is Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, you can read more about them and the great work they do by clicking here. We decided on supporting WPH for two important reasons, firstly being based in Sheffield they're local to us and, secondly, we know that the vast majority of people have been affected by the disease (or know someone who has) in some way, shape or form.

The charity needs to raise £1.5m a year to keep Weston Park at the forefront of cancer treatment, and this is where we need your help. Any support you can offer by means of a donation, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated!

PLUS, as an added incentive for donating there's a little competition for you all. The generous folk at StanleyBlack&Decker have kindly provided me with a Stanley FatMax 18v Drill which I'm giving away in a "Guess My Finish Time" competition. All you need to do is donate a minimum of £5, and leave a comment with your guess as to how long it'll take me to complete the 13.1 miles. The person who makes the closest guess WINS! Simple!
