A group of colleagues and I decided 2025 was the year to step out of our comfort zones and take on the challenge of the Dundee Kiltwalk. We could have chosen the ‘wee wander’ but In a brief moment of madness ‘The Kilted Coos’ team was created and a plan was actioned for us all to take on the 20 miles of ‘the mighty stride’. Some of us have celebrated “big” birthdays this year and what better way to mark the occasion 👣

We decided to support a local charity and chose the Tayside Kidney Patients Association (TKPA) as some of the team have friends or relatives who have received help from them in the past.

Most people who know me will know that I became a live organ donor in 2017 donating a kidney to my husband. We are both doing well and fingers crossed continue to live healthy, active lives for as long as possible. The TKPA provided us with assistance and support during the early days after the transplant as well as financial assistance to assist with costs while being treated in ERI.

The TKPA continues to provide valuable support to renal patients throughout Tayside and North East Fife.
