Story

This ride is joint venture there page for each charity , The ride will be over 12 days and I will cover about 2.900 miles . I be riding a 125cc in England /Scotland & Wales , The ride will start 24th July 2013 from Citerdal Barracks Plymouth And end there on 4th Aurgust , But in between we will be visiting 63 Army Bases .Im known as Madrider1961 and my past rides can be seen on www.madrider1961.co.uk

I am reg disabled rider with spinal problems so this is harder than one would think , But what ever the weather I ride , There are folk alot worse than me

The ROUTE

 

Day 1

Citadel to the Embankment, A38 to Exeter, A379, A3015 to the A30.  A350 to Warminster, take the A36 to the A303, A360 to the B3085 Larkhill.  Same road to Bulford.  A303 Andover garrison.  Back to the A303 then the A342 to Tidworth then the A328 north to the A342 Upavon.  Stay on the A342 to Devizes.  A361 then the A365 to Melksham then the A350 to Buckley Barracks then the A429 to Chippenham, A419 to South Cerney. 

 

Day 2

Out onto the A417 to Innsworth, A40 to A48 Chepstow, stay on the A48 to Cardiff A48 Bridgend, Port Talbot, Swansea, A48 Carmarthen, A40 Haverfordwest, A4076 to RAF Brawdy, back track to Carmarthen, A 48 then A40 to Llandrilo to the A4059 to Landadog to the A4068 to Llandolery, re-join the A40 Brecon.

 

Day 3

Out onto the A40 to Crickahowe, A40 to Abber then A465 Hereford, A49 Shrewsbury out onto the A49 pick up the A53 Ternhill, A41 to Chester.

 

Day 4

Out onto the A41 Berk Tunnel to Liverpool then then A59 Preston, A583 Warton, back track to Preston, A6 to Lancaster, A6 to Kendal, A6 Carlisle to the A75 to Bed & Breakfast. 

 

Day 5

Out onto the A76 Kilmarnock, A78 to Greenock over bridge to A82, Loch Lomond, A82 Fort William, Inverness, then A96 Fort George, Kinloss.

 

Day 6

A96 to Aberdeen, A90 to Brechin to Arbroath, out to Dundee, A92 Edinburgh garrison, out onto the A720 then A68 Jedburgh to A68 Little Whittingham, Albermerle Barracks.

 

Day 7

Out onto the A68 Bishop Auckland, A688 to Bernard Castle, A66 Catterick Garrison, out to Catterick (Marne) Barracks, A1 Leeming Barracks, join the A4684 to Romanby, A167 to Topcliffe, A167 out to the A168 Dishforth, back onto the A168, Ripon, B6265 out the to the A51 Harrogate FC, A59 York, A1079 to Beverley.

Day 8

Out onto the A164 Hull, A15 Lincoln, A1 Seaford, pick up the A52 to Grantham, A1 Rutland Water, out onto the A43 Corby, A5116 to A14 Huntingdon, A14 Cambridge, A10 Royston, out onto the A505 to A11 to A14 Waterbeach, A10 to Ely, to Downham Market, A1122 to A47 Marcham, A47 Swanton Morley.

 

Day 9

Out onto the A47 to A11, Thetford, A134, Bury St Edmunds, A14 to Wattisham, A14 to Ipswich, A23 to Woodbridge, out onto the A12, A14, A12 Colchester Garrison, A12 to A130 to A13 to A282 Dartford Crossing, pick up the A2to Woolwich, back onto the A2 to Chatham Garrison out to Gillingham to Faversham, A 2 to Dover, A20 Folkstone.

 

Day 10

A259 Hastings, to A27 to Chichester, Thorney Island, A27 to Petersfield, A3 to Bordon, A325 out to the A31 Aldershot, A331, B3411 to B3012, Deepcut, back to the B3012, B3411, Frimley, A331, A321 Sandhurst out onto the A321 to the B3430 Biggin Lane, A327 to Arborfield, out onto the A327, B3349 to Wokingham, A329 to Bracknell to Ascot to Wood End, A332 to Windsor.

 

Day 11

Out onto the A308 to Maidenhead, A4 to join the A321 to Henley-on-Thames, A4130 to A4074, A415, Abington, out onto the A34 to A303 Amesbury to the A338, Salisbury, A354 Blandford Forum, A354 to Bovingdon.

 

Day 12

We changed this day as started from BLanford we headed for

Lympstone to meet escort for final ride home .

Well we did 2,582 miles visited 67 bases missed 3 we couldnt find them lol oh 1 had shut I was told .. but we had great time got loads of pics , Even had my 125cc blessed by cannon in south wales , which is def different . Many have said whats next . Well next is my book . my business & my test . Ive done rides since 2004 raised thousands for uk charitys , time for someone else to do something , But I help , I pass on my experiance , And I help with routes etc etc . Any money raised on this site will also help RBLR reach there big 1 mill in ten years . So if you can please donate ..
