The open-air swimming pool at the local school that Jennifer, William and Henry have all attended (Henry leaves in 2 months' time!) needs replacing as it has become unsafe. We have spent many happy hours at the poolside while the children turned into sunburnt prunes and I am sure this is why they all still enjoy swimming so much. It would be great to think that the younger children in the village will also get this opportunity.

A select group of 7 parents are going to ride 300 miles from St. Austell in Cornwall to Swaffham Prior over a 24 (non-consecutive) hour period. We should each ride something in the order of 150 miles. Training has been going well but training in the fens may not have prepared us for hilly Cornwall!
