Quick update: (3-11-2014)  I'm alive, stiff, exhilarated and so, so grateful to EVERYONE who has, or will still, donate towards this brilliant charity.  I'll post more photos very shortly. Thank you, thank you! 

My story:

You may not know it, but I'm running the New York Marathon on November 2nd 2014 - a fabulous, exciting chance to test myself AND, most importantly, raise money for cancer research. My chosen charity, MyelomaUK, helps fight Myeloma - the second most common form of bone cancer, yet it only represents 1% of all cancers. Hey - I'd never heard of it, either....until recently.....

Why Myeloma? Well, it's crazily chosen to rear it's ugly head with my brother-in-law, Howard. He's undergone a stem cell transplant to try and alleviate what is, currently, an incurable disease. Myeloma is one of the less well known cancers, so funding is especially important.

With cancer affecting one-in-three of us, this is a statistic which we all want lowered, if not, eventually taken down to zero.

Your contribution will help fund research into treatment, testing, improving standards of care, supporting and informing patients and their families........ and (hopefully) cures, so I urge you to please give generously. Please help me smash my target!!!!
