Story
Umm so I think I can run a Marathon?
Honestly, I don't know,
but I'll tell you this much I am giving this 100% my best shot. I turned to running when I lost my baby son six months into my second pregnancy. Running helped me chanel my emotions and let of steam. I will always run now and being competative by nature it was certain a 3 mile jog would not be enough for my addictive personality, so I have set myself a challenge to run the whole 26.2 miles and to raise funds and awareness for the Charity 'Get Kids Going'
Being a mother of two small children, one challenge will be fitting in my runs around their needs. I am sure mums alike will understand the difficulties of 8am runs after 3 hours of sleep and how when people say I am brave even heroic they don’t see the twinkle in my eyes when I am running away from the madness of my home leaving two young children behind, running into the quiet streets whilst my husband prepares our dinner and baths our girl's.
Training so far is going well, I am now running over 25 miles a week my weekend run is now 13-15miles straight! Soon to be 17. I have some races to look forward to the Reading Half and hopefully a 21 mile race all part of training. I am so tired and hungry like never before;
am I mad, maybe? but if I can do this, surely you can support me in my mission to reach my target. Please sponsor me now! Thats the easy part, now let me do the running!
Thanks for your continued support.
