We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

When choosing a charity, you have to choose a cause that has a personal connection. In 1998 my brother Ned had difficulties when he was born. As a kid of 6 I was none the wiser about baby Ned's problems, only I was being spoilt much more than usual, managing to watch Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat twice.

But the real heroes of this story weren't performing on stage, they were performing doctors. The doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital do work miracles. Unfortunately, they can't peform these miracles without some assistance. Some of these miracles include an ECMO machine.

Now it's time that I give back a bit of that dedication. Together with my friend Ludo, I will be undertaking the most realistic challenge for me, the Munich Half Marathon which takes place at the Olympic Park on the 5th of May 2013.

Ned has no worries now and is a smart, talented sportsman and musician at Alleyn's School is South London. Our family has lots to be grateful for and for me giving something back is the best way to show our gratitude.
