Sparks raises money to fund pioneering child health research across the UK, helping to find new treatments and cures for children and families who desperately need them.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

The picture is of my pal's healthy baby daughter Isabelle and I,our matching outfits being a complete coincidence!  Whilst i'm not lucky enough to have my own kids yet, I hopefully will one day.

SPARKS (Sport Aiding medical Research for KidS) is a great charity to support, to give all kids a healthy start in life by funding vital medical research into conditions and disabilities that affect newborn babies and children.

I am doing this challenge with a work colleague, John Owen, and we need to raise as much as possible,  a  minimum £500 each.  Due to the fantastic level of support in the first few days the site has been up and running, i have raised the bar and set a new target of £1000, so lets see how we do.....

The challenge is to test my golfing talent (or lack of) and stamina on a gruelling day of four rounds of golf, starting at 2am in the dark with two rounds at Gleneagles, then onto Blairgowrie Rosemount, ending around 11pm at Dalmahoy East.

The golfers amongst you will realise how hard this will be, covering 15 to 20 miles with a set of clubs and still expected to play well on some very tough courses! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SPARKS will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please give as much as you can, and many thanks in advance for your support.

Best,

Marcus
