Story

Hi Guys and Girls!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you who are from Littlehampton you will have, no doubt, met Duncan Todd at some time or another.... I first met him when I worked as a PCSO and he always said hello. A kind and cheerful man always willing to help.

Most of you will remember Duncan for his part in saving the life of a young girl, who was stabbed 20 times by a stranger, in the supermarket where he worked back in September 2008. He was awarded a police bravery award and a City of London Sheriffs Award for his actions.

Duncan sadly lost his battle with cancer last week (July 2011) and has left his wife, son, daughter and 3 grandchildren behind.

St Barnabas house looked after Duncan in his final weeks and offered his family so much support so I'm asking for your help in thanking St Barnabas for looking after our hero with a small donation.

I will be taking part in the Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu in the Andes, Peru, in May 2012 to raise funds for St Barnabas to continue to help people like Duncan and his family.

I will be trekking to 4,200 metres in altitude via mountain passes over 7 days. I'm not the fittest person in the world so it will be quite a mission!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please please please dig deep and donate as much or as little as you are able.... in memory of a very brave, selfless and inspirational man.

Rest Well Duncan xxx

Lotsa Love and Thanks for your support

Mia (and Helen Todd - Duncan's very proud daughter)
