Story

I'm taking on 75 Miles in September for Bliss, the UK's leading charity helping babies born premature or full-term, but sick.

for those who don’t know my George was born prematurely, he weighed just over 3lbs when he was born, he was so little he couldn’t breath or feed by himself. The moment he arrived at the hospital he was put into an incubator where we was told he had a 50/50 chance of survival and months and months of fighting to survive. He was in the best hands at the hospital with the most amazing doctors and nurses who not only helped George but fell in love with him. Never believed in miracles before George. Despite being so tiny, being told he could be in hospital for months and month… George wanted to get home… every single day he beat another challenge, got bigger and stronger. He fought like a champion and after just 3 weeks and 3 days…. He left the hospital not only healthy but a minor celebrity across the hospital and outside too as he later featured in that’s life magazine and online for numerous newspapers. George is now a 9 year old mini unit chatter box who’s just achieved his white belt in mixed martial arts. Running 75 miles in George’s name is nothing compared to the fight he gave to be here today. Not everyone has a happy ending to tell im thankful that I do but now it’s time to do our best to help more people have a happy ending like my George. Let’s do our best to raise as much as we can for these tiny little warriors 💪🏻

By sponsoring me, your donation will help Bliss continue their work to ensure that every baby born premature or full-term who needs neonatal care will have the best chance of survival and quality of life.
