On June 23rd 2019, our team will be taking part in the Swindon Phoenix Dragon Boat event, raising money for Melanoma UK, an amazing organisation that provides valuable support for people living with the disease and their loved ones, fights towards more awareness, prevention, and better treatments.
Melanoma is an aggressive form of skin cancer that is challenging to treat, since it doesn’t respond to typical cancer treatments like chemotherapy. After 4 years of living with melanoma, Tamsin's Dad passed away in October 2018 after his cancer progressed to stage 4 and spread to his brain. He was a kind, hardworking and brave man, and the family are heartbroken to have lost him.
Melanoma doesn’t discriminate - people of all ages can develop this aggressive cancer, so it’s vital that more work is done on improving treatments, increasing awareness, and prevention.
