At Christmas, I wasn't fit enough to run for a bus. On July 10, I'm hoping to run 10 kilometres (just over 6 miles) for charity.

I know it doesn't sound much, but it will be by far the furthest I've ever run in my life. And I'd love it if you could help me raise a little money for a great charity called IntoUniversity which does more for social mobility than any other charity I've come across.

IntoUniversity gives disadvantaged urban children the help, advice and encouragement that middle-class children take for granted from their parents. It runs after-school study clubs from the age of seven, takes children on outings and trips, pairs them up with mentors, arranges special holiday weeks at universities, helps with GCSE and A level choices and UCAS applications, and generally gives them the confidence and aspiration to aim for university and a career.

It gets no government money and relies on private donations, so any help you can offer will be much appreciated.
