Mary Sanchez-Latcham is raising money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity
Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am attempting for the first time to run/jog/stagger 13.1 miles in Birmingham's first Half Marathon in aid the Kidney Kids Appeal at Birmingham Children's Hospital. I am joining teamblinddave - the amazing runner who ran 7 marathons over 7 Continents, in 7 days.!!! (I may actually take 7 hours to do just this one!)
When Isabella my daughter (now 9) was 9 months old she spent 2 nights in the Birmingham Children's Hospital and after the initial scare of meningitis, was found to have nothing seriously wrong with her. She was very lucky - unlike so many of the other babies and children who spend days, weeks, months here. I felt vey humbled to see how these children (and their parents) coped with their illnesses. I know I am blessed to have 4 healthy children .
