Story

In Memory of our beloved brother Syed Sorwar Hussain (Abu Dujana).

Such a beautiful and inspiring soul who has touched the hearts of many.

He was a Syed, he traced his lineage back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .He had a deep love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which many of us witnessed in his tears in Medina. Without doubt, he always reminded us of Allah ﷻ and his Rasul ﷺ.

Always pushing to strive hard in everything that he did, whether it be family, work, badminton, squash, cycling or fishing, just to name a few. Undoubtedly his biggest passions was Archery & seeking knowledge. Consistently driving many of us to keep steadfast in learning or fulfilling the Sunnah. Through these interactions many of us met him for the first time and he left an indelible mark that would connect us forever. As a result of this, many of us have increased our knowledge and spirituality in our Religion.

His generosity to help everyone he met & the fundraising for causes was unparalleled. Raising thousands for Syria, Palestine, Burma & many other causes.

So many of you couldn’t attend his funeral due to the COVID-19 situation and hence in his memory the family would like to build a Masjid in Sierra Leone or Malawi with UWT. In sha Allah it will be named “Masjid Abu Dujana” and this will be a Sadaqah Jariyyah for him.

‘Whosoever builds a house (masjid) for the pleasure of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise.’ [Tirmidhi]

Please donate Generously if you are able to do so and In sha Allah we will all meet Abu Dujana in this house in Jannah.

May Allāh ﷻ forgive his sins, elevate his status, grant him Jannat-ul-Firdaws, and grant him the status of a Shaheed, make his grave a garden from the Gardens of Paradise and may Allāh ﷻ be eternally pleased with him.

May Allāh ﷻ grant him companionship of the Ambiyā, Siddīqīn, Shuhadā and Ṣālihīn. Ameen

JazakAllahu khairan
