Rachel & Sarah's STAR WALK for Dad!

STAR UPDATE: Mon 14 May - We did it!!!

After a speedy and cheery start at midnight, it was a wet and tired (and slightly grumpy) finish at 3am... with lots of fun and chatter along the way!

Hello and thanks for visiting our fundraising page.  Our lovely Dad is fighting cancer - he's so brave and we're amazingly proud of him.  We've decided to do the Star Walk for a STAR Dad so that he can be proud of us!  It raises money for CancerCare in South Lakeland which is supporting Mum & Dad at the moment. 

CancerCare provides advice, information, practical help and a range of complementary therapies.  So any help you can give, however small, will go directly to help our family and others in a similar situation right now in Kendal and Lancaster.

On to the Star Walk!  This is Kendal's version of London's Moonwalk, where 1000 women take to the streets of Kendal at midnight to walk 15km around the auld grey town.  The route even goes past Mum & Dad's house... but rumour has it that they're hoping to be away that weekend, so we'll have to rely on Troy to get up and wave to us and hand us out a flapjack!

A 15K walk should be a doddle for a couple of Lakeland  mountain goats like us (no Rachel, you can't do it on your horse!).
