Brighton Marathon 2011 · 10 April 2011 ·
The first thing I did when I crossed the finish line of the inaugural Brighton Marathon 2010, was pledge that I wanted to do it again next year! It was my first marathon and I manage 4hr 31min 16sec; I was aching but I felt elated. The crowd and atmosphere were amazing.
The Special Care Baby Unit want to thank everyone who donated for my first 2010 Marathon fundraiser, together we managed nearly £700!
Sadie was also inspired watching the first marathon, so much so in fact that she is now also running in this year’s event. She is now training hard and looking forward to the big day.
This time around I’ll be running as a Ghostbuster, with the full pack, goggles and overalls. I made it myself out of odds and ends but its pretty light so I should be fine.
Sadie and I will be raising money for the Friston Children’s Ward, Eastbourne Hospital that is in need of renovation, via the Friends of Eastbourne Hospitals Charity.

Thank you so much for your support!
Friston Ward treats more than 4,000 children and young people every year for a range of conditions including common childhood complaints, emergency surgical cases and those needing long-term treatment, such as cystic fibrosis and cancer.
Any donations I receive will help directly in the improvements that are needed to the children’s ward.
JustGiving is totally secure and never sell information on or send unwanted emails and the money goes directly to the charity. Make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.
