October 4th 2009 will be my 40th birthday, and I plan to make the celebrations especially memorable and worthwhile.

Starting on October 3rd  I will be riding my Mountain Bike solo for 12 hours around Thetford Forest, Norfolk in the 6th annual Marin Dusk 'Til Dawn offroad challenge. I've been given race number 40 to acknowledge the occasion!

Last year saw 1000 riders participate in this overnight event, starting at 8pm Saturday evening and ending at 8am on the Sunday morning. The course covers more than 11 miles of fire roads and flowing singletrack twining through the trees.
